• Learn Schumpeter's concept of creative destruction and explore startup opportunities amid industry change
• Analyze comparable companies and research benchmark companies to set the direction of each team's startup item

Refining Ideas and Building Differentiation Strategies

• Apply the "four arithmetic operations" ideation method to break down and combine ideas
• Identify niches and points of differentiation by industry to develop a competitive startup item

Designing Brand Identity, Customers and Revenue Models

• Understand how brand identity connects to business strategy
• Set the brand direction of the startup item through naming and logo planning
• Define target customers using personas and map out the revenue model through TAM-SAM-SOM analysis

Promotion, Marketing and Business Plan Writing

• Learn the main types and methodologies of promotion and marketing
• Prioritize the marketing strategies best suited to each business and set a quarterly marketing budget
• Incorporate differentiation strategies and market entry approaches into the business plan, based on research into related and comparable industries

Understanding Crowdfunding and Creating a Product Detail Page

• Understand the concept and uses of crowdfunding, and develop a product lineup strategy for promotion and sales
• Plan the thumbnail, detail page layout and product presentation flow for a mock crowdfunding campaign
• Complete a finished product detail page using the provided template sheets
