"I used to think only about simple inventions, but this class really taught me what creative destruction means: changing existing things in new ways. It was also fun to go beyond my own ideas and develop them into a startup idea by discussing them with my classmates."
"I really liked coming up with our own startup ideas to solve problems around us and turning them into a brand. Instead of just selling products, we tried creative destruction that makes the world more convenient, and I feel like I learned the mindset of a truly great business owner."
Program Activities
Students look at how jobs have changed from the past to the present and into the future, learning that jobs do not simply disappear but evolve and expand. They then apply the three principles of job creation (discovery, specialization and convergence) to generate new job ideas, and use generative AI to define why each new job is needed and what it involves.
