"I liked learning about my career path, my talent type and my strength type. Starting in my second year of middle school, I'll follow the growth roadmap I wrote (practice, building a portfolio, improving my digital tool skills and more) and work as hard as I can toward the career I want."
"I've always thought a lot about my future career, and today's class helped me narrow down the many paths I'd been considering. I was interested in two jobs and found it hard to choose, but I learned that I could combine them. It was also meaningful to find out how my friends see my strengths and good qualities."
Program Content
Students look at how jobs have changed from the past to the present and into the future, learning that jobs do not simply disappear but evolve and expand. They then apply the three principles of job creation — discovery, specialization and convergence — to come up with new job ideas, and use generative AI to define why each new job is needed and what role it plays.
