"Through this, I learned what technologies and threats the future may hold, and it helped me think about my career by imagining what future jobs might emerge to solve and use them."

"I had never thought about future technologies before, so it was great to connect them to jobs and to my own future. It was the best of all my career classes, and I wouldn't mind doing it again."

Program Content

Students explore how jobs have changed from the past to the present and into the future, learning that jobs do not simply disappear but evolve and expand. They then apply the three principles of job creation — discovery, specialization and convergence — to generate new job ideas, and use generative AI to define the need for and role of each new job.
